On Page SEO – Search Engine Optimization Tips

Here are my Search Engine Optimization Tips for On Page Seo. After reading these search engine optimzation tips You will be able to unleash the full potential of Your websites. On Page SEO is not as complicated as many people think. I will first introduce You to the basic concept of onpage seo and then discuss the on page seo factors in more detail.

Search Engine Optimization Tips for On Page SEO

You must understand that having a SEO optimized website will dramatically increase Your rankings and that On-Page SEO is the foundation that all other search engine optimization techniques build on. All the other niche marketing strategies that are covered on this site will only leverage Your sites own SEO Score.

In short: A fully SEO optimized website with very few links can easily out-rank a site that is poorly optimized but has 5 -10 times the amount of backlinks. At the same time Your On Page SEO Factors are far easier to manipulate then the off-page factors. In many cases You only need to tweak Your code a little to greatly improve the SEO friendlieness of Your website. The on page seo checklist below has my main search engine optimization tips for good rankings.

Search Engine Optimization Tips – On Page SEO Checklist

Diagramm with On Page SEO FactorsHere is my Basic On Page SEO Checklist. It will introduce You to the Ranking Factors that will then be discussed in more detail. This list gives You a basic idea on how google looks at Your sites’ code and some search engine optimization tips for on page seo.

    On Page SEO Checklist

  • Is Your URL SEO optimized ?
Your Keywowrd(s) should appear in the Domain Name if possible. This is one of the biggest ranking advantages You can get. If You are optimizing an other site then having Your keywords in the URL is mandatory.
http://www.YourKeywordHere.com would be the ideal solution.
    http://YourKeywordHere.wordpress.com is second best and
http://www.somehost.com/yourkeywordhere is the minimum You must have.
    http://scammy-hosting.com/user/1098234/h43b5kjb45.php will be easily outranked
  • Title and Headlines
Your main keyword should be included in the Title of the website. It should also appear in the headlines You are using. H1, H2 and H3 Heading with your keyphrase in them should be used on your pages. Keep in mind that You will need some relevant inbetween the headings, so that You will need at least 400 words of content if You plan to use all 3 Headings.
  • Meta Tags
You should use the Meta-Title, Meta Keywords and Meta Description tag and include Your main keyword in all these elements. The Title Tag should contain a maximum of 60 Chars. The Description should have a maximum of 200 Chars. Each Keyword that You add to the Meta Keyword Tag MUST appear in Your content. Stuffing Meta Tags with irrelevant keywords is not good on page seo pratice and will get you punished by the search engines.
  • Images and Alt Tags

Here’s one of the easiest yet most powerful search engine optimization tips. Your Images should have Your keyword phrases as the file name and You should make use of the alt tag of the images. Each of Your sites keywords should be included somewhere on the site in an alt tag. At least one image with Your main keyword in the alt tag must be present on the page.
With the emphasis Google gives to site load speed You should also make sure that You use well compressed images that wont waste bandwith.

  • Keyword Density and Relevant Content
Keyword Density and Content Relevance are very importan on page seo factors. Your most important keyword should be present in the first and last sentence of the content. Your main keyword phrase should make up 2% – 5% of Your content. Lower Keyword Density will not make Your site appear relevant and higher keyword density might look like keyword stuffing. If You Keep Your Keyword Density between 2 and 5 Percent You should be fine. You can also check out what the other sites that are ranking well in Your niche do and adjust Your keyword density accordingly if You are looking for the optimal value.
Your Site should consist of at lest 250 Words, better 400 Words of Content and can have as much as 800 words on it. Keep Your pages smaller than 100kB if You can ( sometimes a page will need many images or media and will exeed this size – that’s OK ).
  • In and Outbound Links
You should link out with a keyword as the anchor text. The link should point to an authority site for your keyword. You could link to relevant Wikipedia Articles or other authority domains. Make sure that You add the NoFollow Attribute to Your outgoing links.
You should link to an other page of Your site with a keyword in the anchor text. Cross Linking Your Pages helps to get them all spidered and indexed. Links within Your own page do not get the noffollow attribute. This way You keep Page Rank on Your Site.
  • Text Decoration
This last point on my SEO Checklist is text decoration. You should always have Your main keyword appear in bold, italic and underlined.

On Page SEO is not Rocket Science with these Search Engine Optimization Tips

Search ENgine Optimization Tips for On Page SEOOn Page SEO is a must for every affiliate niche marketer. Not applying the on page SEO techniques described above will decrease Your sites ranking power dramatically. If You follow the On Page SEO Checklist above You will already have a very well SEO optimized website. You will soon find my more indepth discussion of all important on page seo factors on the next page of the On Page SEO Search Engine Optimization Tips Section of this Site.
